For as long as she can remember, Lisa Mikkelsen has been passionate about property and interior design.
Before becoming a qualified interior designer, Lisa spent almost 20 years working in the advertising industry with many of Australia's largest household name brands, across some of Australia's leading publications, including well known homemaker titles, Vogue Living, Inside Out, Belle, House & Garden, and Real Living.
During this time Lisa acquired a diverse range of skills which she has been able to bring to her Interiors role. By consolidating these skills together with her utmost professionalism, ongoing commitment to exceeding her clients expectations, and flare for interiors, Gardenia Design was born.
Lisa's portfolio of commercial and residential work spans across inner and outer Melbourne suburbs, including Kew, Glen Iris, Armadale, Toorak, Camberwell, the Mornington Peninsula and Tasmania. Each property has had its own personality and through Lisa's vision, each has been able to reach its full potential. "It's critical to first get an understanding of the clients dream and vision for their property, then it's my job to help make that dream, a reality".
Lisa's mission is first and foremost to listen and respect her client's requirements, but to also open up other styles and designs which may never have been considered before - "Collaboration is everything". Lisa prides herself on being able to offer exceptional one on one service to her clients. "I treat each project as if it was my own home and try to make the process as simple as possible for my clients."
